Painting Pots & Prosecco in Bayside

Painting Pots & Prosecco in Bayside

Last weekend, the Bayside Community Centre was full of colour, creativity, and plenty of laughs as we hosted a relaxed plant pot painting workshop — no experience needed, just good vibes and a love of making something with your hands!

With a simple three-step process, each person transformed a humble terracotta pot into a mini abstract masterpiece. From bold brushstrokes to playful patterns, no two pots were alike — and every single one turned out beautifully.

We sipped Prosecco, nibbled on snacks, and chatted as brushes moved and colours blended. It was wonderfully low-pressure, and women of all ages joined in. Some called it therapeutic, others said it was simply great craic — and nearly everyone said they’d recommend it to a friend.

As someone who organised and joined in, I was reminded how powerful an evening like this can be — especially for busy women who rarely get time to just play. There's something incredibly grounding about stepping away from the to-do list, picking up a paintbrush, and giving yourself permission to create without any pressure. Whether you’re reconnecting with a long-lost love of art or just looking for a way to unwind, nights like this offer a real sense of calm, joy and connection.

Creativity, community, and a splash of bubbly? A perfect way to spend a few hours. 🌿✨
